Server DesignSinclair Associates are expert in the design and implementation of server based technologies. With experience extending back to IBM 0S/2 1.3 and forward to the latest Windows Servers we are in a position to help you with any requirement whether this is a new server environment or a migration from OS/2 to Windows NT/2000, or Windows NT to NetWare or any other combination! All Sinclair Associates technical personnel are Microsoft Certified Professionals. We also have a number of Novell trained and certified professionals who, along with our MCSE ™ qualified staff specialise in the design of server environments and infrastructures. Again, Sinclair Associates use a top-down approach to server design; that is to understand the business requirements fully and design a system based on the current and future requirements of the business. This approach is favoured over the alternate methods of design based on the latest technologies, which does not always result in the best solution for the client. Sinclair Associates have extensive experience in the complexities of design following a business merger or demerger. This type of business change often results in problems such a disjointed infrastructure or systems and applications without support personnel. Sinclair Associates can resolve these issues by understanding the existing systems and the business requirements and making the appropriate recommendations (and changes as required) to resolve them fully.
Reference InformationServices recently provided to clients include the design and implementation of a new NT Server based infrastructure covering 22 sites and 300 users. This infrastructure was required following the demerger of a company from a larger parent where the parent company retained ownership of the server and network infrastructure. The existing infrastructure included server systems (based on OS/2 and Windows NT 4.0), a mail and workflow system based on Lotus Domino, remote access services for over 150 users and an extensive array of applications, both in-house and commercially available. The new infrastructure provides these services in an efficient manner over a much smaller and more cost effective infrastructure, and provides greatly enhanced services to the users of the network. Sinclair Associates have also entered into a support agreement for this server infrastructure. |
